Publish on Facebook

Following a lot of requests we added the Facebook connector last week. We've been testing it publicly since then and it's already being used by some of you. As usual, to start using it, you need to give us authorization on the accounts tab.

The tarpipe Facebook connector

The Facebook connector lets you publish status updates and upload photos directly from a tarpipe workflow. The status update is also available through the share form, where all you have to do is enter your status on the Body field, check the Facebook destination and click on the share button.

  1. This added Facebook connector is great. This is really starting to show true value to the service.

Let us know if you have other suggestions for connectors.

  3. Hi!

    I love your tarpipe.
Only one thing i miss really. Will it be possible to post to a wordpress blog? It is in my publish process.
Or to publish using atom, or any publishing protocol?

    Thanks,

    Attila

  4. Seems to me, biggest thing missing from the Facebook connector is the tag info.

For example, I wanted to take Facebook photos/tags and connect them with Flickr, yet there is no tags on the Facebook connector to connect to the “tags” that does exist on the Flickr connector.

  5. Facebook is great… but I’d love to see a method of posting to a Facebook “fan page” too.

  6. Hey, I’m having a little trouble getting tarpipe linked up through facebook connect. I’ll take any means of reducing the number of times I actually need to visit fb.com, but this seems to be failing every time I try to authorize it. No error messages, seems to go through fine, but the authorization status on the accounts page remains the same, while fb functionality is not enabled in workflows including the connector.

  7. Tyler: we’re solving the issues with the Facebook credential verification process. I’ll let you know when everything’s working again. Thanks for the feedback.

  8. Cheers for the attention! I’ve been having lots of fun playing with tarpipe, and am closing in on some very useable and time saving applications of the device for myself. Great product, can’t wait to see what new connectors come out in the future :)
